Just a little tip for karaoke singers doing duets: Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton took turns singing lead/harmony on Islands In The Stream and it turns out this is a really nice technique (dare I say trick?) that works on a lot of songs, including Something Stupid. If you want a real challenge, try it on Endless Love... both parts are pretty difficult and you'll have to know where and when to switch octaves if you don't have the range for both voices. It doesn't always work but you'd be surprised how often it does, so don't feel constrained by what someone else thinks are the male and female parts. :)

My teacher thinks I’m soprano, someone else felt I would be alto, so I’m guessing I’m a mezzo. I can do high notes but my high notes are not as effortless sounding. So I’m a bit frustrated he thinks im a soprano and pushing me to do higher stuff, when my voice naturally prefers sitting a bit lower. Oh well…

Is there any new lower range warm ups for 2024?

The alto one is a few notes too high of my comfortable range though I can technically hit it. I can also sing lower than the start note comfortably. Thinking I might be a countertenor

She's giving a lesson on how to bring out and improve a Natural vibrato.
